Education Labels

Many schools, colleges, academies and universities are moving to education labels as a solution to the problem of IT equipment and other valuable assets being misplaced or lost at their sites.

Theft is also often a significant issue. While an educational establishment needs to allow easy access for students, this can increase the risk that valuable items such as computers, printers, digital cameras and sporting equipment are prime targets for an organised thief.

Low cost property marking (such as Selectamark Permanent Marking) with the name and postcode of your school, college or university used in conjunction with a Silver Laminated Polyester label is ideal for deterring thieves and tracking valuable assets.

Laminated Polypropylene labels available with barcodes

A more cost effective option would be the Laminated Polypropylene label which can also be printed in various colours and contains a sequential asset number and barcode.

For a label with a security feature, you may wish to consider the Tamper Resistant label which breaks up into tiny pieces if removal is attempted. If your establishment has students who may be tempted to pick at labels, you should be aware that these could start to show signs of this tampering around the edges in time. The benefit of these labels though is that they are very difficult to remove and cannot be peeled off and transferred to other items.

The most secure label in the range is the TESA Security label which comes in black with white text, and is now also available with barcoding if required.

Education labels ideal for university departments

Entire schools or individual departments in universities and colleges can use SelectaLabel labels, meaning that the loss of thousands of pounds worth of equipment can be avoided.
